Louise Coningsby
Louise operates as a catalyst and facilitator of organisational change
and development with 33 Christian charities in London and the East of
England. Her work involves Christian ethos and values, Board Development,
Leadership Development and OD / HR strategy. Prior to this she worked
in a range of organisations including the Fire Service, Brown and Root
Civil Engineering, YWAM Philippines and PROSPECTS for people with learning
disabilities.
Paul Cheesman
Paul has worked in Christian mission (Agapé) for 15 years, initially as
a youth and schools worker, and for the past 10 years in Human Resources.
His last role was as HR Director, responsible for strategic issues and
a team of 4 operational specialists. He recently moved to working with
Agapé Europe as an HR adviser to 1000 staff in 14 countries. The role
involves strategic and systems development, troubleshooting and HR training.
He has a Post-graduate Diploma in Personnel & Development and is a member
of the CIPD.
Brian James
Brian's career started with a large retail organisation in Human Resources.
He spent 16 years in varying sizes of stores covering London and the South
East. He moved across to the Christian Charity Sector in 1999 and has
been challenged to change the reputation of a Christian Charity as an
employer from 'poor' to 'good'. Mission Care employ 300 staff in the Care
sector and participate in delivering care through local authority contracts
alongside mission based activities.
Sheila Jones
Sheila has worked in Christian mission beginning at the Bible Society
and Scripture Gift Mission then working for the Evangelical Alliance for
the last 12 years. During that time Sheila has developed the HR function
and taken the organisation through to achieve the Investor In People standard.
Sheila's role has developed throughout the 12 years and she is currently
operating at director level. Nine years ago Sheila set up an HR Forum
for those working in Personnel/Human Resources in the Christian charity
sector. The Forum regularly gets 60 - 80 people attending the bi-annual
meetings and there are 250+ on the e network.
Judith Beecham
co-opted member, development, technical, field-testing.
Judith is an analyst with a background of 10 years in the IT industry.
Her main roles there were as an analyst, technical design authority (technical
architect) and project leader. Clients were from the utilities sector
- British Gas, BP etc. Judith has a Natural Sciences degree and postgraduate
diploma in Computing Science from Cambridge university. More recently
she has been working as an analyst and creating databases for small businesses.
Judith also leads a small Christian organisation that runs summer youth
camps.
