Who Are We? Current Members | What we Believe | Our Values | Defining Ethos We came together out of a passion to see Christian organisations and Churches grow in excellence, in both organisational effectiveness and in modelling Christ-like values. The way that a Christian organisation leads and manages staff needs to be consistent with its Christian values and mission. We have been involved in training and development for the Christian sector and have published Distinctives, a handbook for Churches and Christian organisations enabling them to improve the ethos and practice of managing people. In 2005 we launched ASPIRE, an on-line self-assessment tool helping Christian organisations and Churches to examine Christian values in action. The Christian Distinctiveness Group was formed in 2000 by a group of Human Resources and Organisational Development professionals from 5 different Christian organisations: Agapé, The Evangelical Alliance, Mission Care, Prospects and the YMCA. We note our thanks to these organisations for the investment made to benefit the wider Christian community in releasing staff and supporting the projects and work of the CDG. We are indebted to Pi Management and eKreative for their encouragement and generous support in implementing the aspire web pages. The Christian Distinctiveness Group works with a range of Christian organisations
which describe themselves in a variety of ways including ecumenical, evangelical,
liberal, charismatic, radical, catholic and broad church. The CDG is an
Evangelical Alliance Partnership for Change. Privacy Notice, Conditions of Use, Refunds Policy |
