Who we are

Katy Murray

Katy is a freelance coach and facilitator, specialising in leadership development, team development and organisational capacity building. Formerly Katy worked as a principal trainer and consultant with the Management Centre where her customers included charities, international NGOs, faith based agencies, arts organisations and local government agencies. She was an International Learning and Development Consultant within a large Christian NGO. Katy has a Masters degree in Organisational Development. She was a lead member of a community church plant in West London and now worships at St Thomas', Kendal.

Gordon Lickfold

Dr Lickfold is an Occupational Psychologist who has, over the last 16 years, focused on a variety of development, research and consultancy roles, having previously worked for 19 years in a range of HR management and organisational development roles within the commercial sector. Gordon has been involved in the development of a number of diagnostic tools, and is also a Director of Teleios Insight.

Sheila Jones

Sheila Jones is an HR Adviser to the Christian Sector. Sheila co-leads the EA HR Network, which is open to all working in HR in the broader Christian Charity Sector. The network is regarded as the premier HR forum for the Christian sector, providing particular service to the Evangelical Alliance's 3,000 churches and 1,000 organisations. She is also a Trustee of the Bible Society. Previously Sheila worked for the Scripture Gift Mission, was Associate Director of HR for the Evangelical Alliance and helped lead the American HR forum for the Christian Management Association.

Brian James

Brian is Operations Manager for Keychange, a Christian Charity, supporting vulnerable adults in care homes for older people and hostels for the homeless across England. Brian's role involves developing project leadership and organisational understanding of Christian ethos and being distinctively Christian, alongside day-to-day operations. Brian is also involved in a number of local and national leadership roles including that of Parent Governor, chairman of The Outlook Trust and a member of the VoX (Valuing Older Experience) network. His previous Christian Care Sector roles included Human Resources then Operations Director at Mission Care. Before entering the Christian Charity sector Brian had been in Human Resources, with a highly reputable Retailer, known as 'a good company to work for'. In moving to the Christian Charity Sector in 1999 Brian was, and continues to be, challenged to improve the reputation of Christian Charities as employers.

Janet Fawcett

Janet is a "can do professional" with a current focus on operations. Janet blends a strong ability to "get the job done" with insightful intercession. Her current work includes infrastructure support to a trust enabling commercial sector professionals to undertake retreats. The retreats are an active outworking of Biblical values and the Church's practices bringing change to society. For 20 years Janet worked with Youth With a Mission, latterly as a member of the YWAM England Executive team and formerly as part of the team that pioneered new forms of people care, for example briefing and debriefing, now considered an essential aspect of most NGO's HR practices.

the late Louise Coningsby

Louise was a founding member of the CDT, a passionate 'people person' and guardian of the vision for the work of CDT. We are very grateful for her huge contribution in so many ways to this venture. She worked tirelessly and with great commitment and vision to see excellence in Christian organisations and was an inspiration to many. Louise was a spiritual director who also worked in organisational development with a range of leaders and organisations. Her work involved Christian ethos and values, Board, organisation and leadership development and human resource strategy. Louise was a trustee of a number of charities including the Cross Pollinate Foundation. In the past Louise has held leadership and professional roles with a variety of organisations including an Anglican Church Plant, the YMCA, the Fire Service, Tearfund, Brown and Root Civil Engineering, YWAM Philippines. Louise held a Masters in People Management, was a Member of CIPD and a Trained Mediator.

Paul Cheesman

Paul is Global HR Coordinator for Campus Crusade for Christ. The role involves resourcing HR directors and professionals in strategic and systems development, coaching, HR training and troubleshooting for Campus Crusade's 26,000 staff in 190 countries. He has a Post-graduate Diploma in Personnel & Development and is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD. Previously, Paul worked in Christian mission (Agape - for which Campus Crusade is the parent organisation) for 18 years, initially as a youth and schools worker, and for the past 12 years in Human Resources. He was a Director and part of Agape UK's senior leadership team before moving to work with Agape Europe in HR Consultancy.

Judith Beecham

Judith is a freelance analyst, technical design authority, database developer and project leader, with a wide range of experience in the transport, utilities and pharmaceutical sectors and also with small businesses and charities. Judith has led the technical analysis and systems design for a wide range of projects, developed complex database systems and provided general technical management through complete project life cycles. She has a Natural Sciences and Computing Science background from Cambridge University.

Dot Palmer-Fry

Dot operates as a freelance consultant within the commercial and Christian Sectors. Formerly Dot was Human Resource Director for Cadbury Schweppes, has run her own counselling business and until recently, was chair of Interdev. Most recently she has worked in Executive coaching and in OD and Organisation Re-structures in particular.

Mike Perreau

Mike operates as a strategic partner and adviser to a range of commercial, public and voluntary sector organisations. He is Managing Director of PI Management and a founding Director of Transformational Business Networks.

Merisa MacInnes

Merisa is the Communications Director for Youth for Christ. Her role includes marketing and PR and she gives advice to other Christian organisations seeking to raise funds and profile. She previously worked as a freelance consultant for a variety of Christian charities after beginning her career with World Vision. Merisa is a trustee of SOMA.
