Standards and audits
CDT has worked with a variety of organisations to create specific resources for the Christian sector that provide an internal audit for organisations. Aspire is an online self-assessment audit process integrating an audit of Christian values and identity with people management and leadership. Our Distinctives manual contains a paper based checklist that enables smaller organisations to audit their people management processes.
There are many potential benefits from conducting an audit, for example:
- Audits can validate existing organisational processes
- Audits can be catalytic in identifying areas for development and facilitating change
- Audits facilitate change: because an outside assessment and analysis can more readily bring focus to improvement opportunities, and enable action
- Audits are a sign of maturity in an organisation
